Final Project: Investment Design GDD

At DigiPen Institute of Technology, I had the privilege of taking a one-semester special topics class about Investment design, taught by the fantastic Tom Olsen who works in that role at Bungie on Destiny 2. The final project for that course was to create a full Game Design Document targeting the investment strategies for a MMO-type game. Gameplay details are light, since the focus here was gameplay loops, monetization strategies, and social systems. This project really was the first chance I had to design game systems like these, which was very formative towards the type of design work that I want to do in the future. I am including it here as a .zip with the GDD and accompanying excel spreadsheet.
